The Things They Can't Suppress...

Everyone in Addis is talking about yesterday's article in the Ethiopian Herald, in which a letter, admitting guilt for the post-election violence and supposedly signed by the prisoners, was printed. I was initially worried that people would believe these lies, but was instead pleasantly suprised. On the streets, and in taxis and cafes, people are emphatically denying that the leaders would ever admit to crimes not committed. It seems these latest attempts to defame the characters of those in prison has only served to boost public support and admiration. (opps!)

(Also: They may be able to silence us over here, but the international bloggers are busy. The Huffington Post, MyDD and Daily Kos have all posted a story by blogger Robert Naiman, encouraging people to take action here

Dont worry the otherside (Lewit). I share your concern but this could have worked some 10 years ago. Now, no one will believe the propaganda. They are done. What ever they say , evenif true people will not accept. That is the level of credibility that the regime is facing.
Important now is the relase of the prisoners with their full right. That is what people want to see the rest talk by the government lies on a deaf ear.

Selam mengedenga
had it been for the propaganda TPLF broadcast for two years inall available medias of the country;the people of addis ababa & the rest of Ethiopia would claim for the excution of the Kinijit leaders.
I wonder the Crime minster comes fortnightly if not weekly; to the media and labels them as "wonjelengoch" "ametsengoch","adimengocvh" "nefise gedayoch" "mikir alisema bayoch" "nefitengoch" what ever on his dirty tongue.
Had he come & used these energies on the pre election live debate ,woyanne may got 1 in 23 seats from addis ababa.
As his past comrades in the rebellions used to tell" He is coward.he is qizenam " .Ahun be bado meda yifokiral.
It remembers me the proverb of amharic
"Qedimo neber enji metino medeqos
Ahun min yaderigal dist tido maliqes."
the fact/truth cant be changed.
Had it not been for kinijit, there might not be this ethiopia today. At that time The chairman of the current house of federation 'harassed' the Ethiopian people gave an interview "Oromiya shall use article 39 to succeed".
Any way time will tell!
respect

Mengedegna, your stupidity knows no bound. Only in Africa will a semi-illiterate looser foreigner will be taken seriously. No serious opposition members, not even your blogger pal seminawork (who is 1000 times smarter than you) denies the validity of the long running negotiations and its outcome so-far.

Can you at least try giving some semblance of analysis based on reality? OOPS! May be you have no original thoughts. You better stay in Africa in that sense, since you can hide your ignorance better behind than ferenji face.

So are you (our hero) busy exposing the evil and primitive woyane's mockery of using their disinformation, hahahaha, we have lovely happy hours to listen to the comedy of etv, fana, and the washington based "buchulas". How many times I applaud for you Ferenji, to be the voice for the voiceless. Only few will do that in this century where the $, oil and military rule our globe. You are in a country of ramphant destitution, the poorest of poors but doing what is of heavenly ....... Each minute you spent to help those who are under the gun would be under surveillance from the almight GOD. GOD bless you.

It could be true that they admitted ’’wrong doing‘‘ to make things easier for all. Or not to be ’’stubborn‘‘ as some might think. The important thing is that we, Ethiopians know who killed our brothers and sisters. We know who is responsible for all... Now let’s get them out of prison and let them reorganize the party-CUD....everything will be okay afterwards....So don't worry even if they say we admit our ’’mistakes‘‘

Why would any reasonable person think that the government simply manufactured the letter? is it because the governement is eager to free the jailed leaders? So much for the critical thinking of you and your readers.

Why would a governament manufacture this letter? Think, think if you do have a brain. Did you finish highschool in your home country, wherever that is?

The US,IMF and world Bank are supporters of the government they don't need to prove anything to anyone and yes, they have looser haters like your kind.
